Anna Gaálová Piano
Anna began playing the piano at the age of five, in Děčín, Czech Republic. Even as a child, she placed in a number of competitions, including Prague Junior Note (2nd place), Amadeus Brno (2nd place), Broumovská klávesa (2nd place), absolute winner at the Youth and Bohuslav Martinů Competition, International Smetana Competition (3rd place).

Since 2014 she has been studying at the Prague Conservatory under Prof. M. Langer. Already as a first-year conservatory student, she participated in competitions: Broumovská klávesa (1st place) and Pro Bohemia Ostrava (1st place). She also holds several awards from the Young Piano competition, and in 2017 she won first place at the Brno Piano Competition in the ”22 years and under“ category.

Two of her greatest accomplishments to date are: 3rd prize at the Pancho Vladigerov Piano Competition in Bulgaria and 3rd place in the ”Play with the Czech Philharmonic“ competition.

In December 2019 she performed as a soloist with the Prague Conservatory Symphony Orchestra at a concert celebrating Gideon Klein‘s 100th birth anniversary. Each year, Anna participates in international master classes led by world-class pianists such as L. O. Andsnes, Ch. I. Hadland, H. Gimse, M. Samson-Primachenko, A. Kouyoumdjian and I. Kahánek.
