Keishiro Mikawa Violoncello
Born in Fukuoka, Japan, Keishiro started playing the piano at the age of five and cello at the age of ten. He graduated from the Tokyo Metropolitan Comprehensive Art High School (TMCAHS) in 2014. At first, he was a piano student at TMCAHS, but later changed his major to cello performance. He went on to study cello at the Tokyo University of the Arts, graduating in 2018.

In 2017 he won 2nd prize at the Hama no JACK (Golden Egg) competition in Yokohama. He also won 3rd prize at the the Petrof Fest international competition in 2018.

His teachers in Japan were Y. Maruyama, M. Unno, M. Nishiya.

Since 2019 he has been living in Prague and studying with T. Jamník.
