Martin Kot Akordeon
Having graduated from grammar school in Uherské Hradiště, Czech Republic, Martin is currently a student of the Prague Conservatory in the class of Prof. L. Horák. He has been playing the accordion since the age of six.

After winning the national round of the Eurovision Young Musicians competition, he represented the Czech Republic in Cologne, Germany, performing as a soloist with the WDR orchestra in the competition finale. Thanks to his excellence in competitions, he has had the opportunity to perform with the Brno Philharmonic, the B. Martinů Philharmonic, and with celebrities such as Václav Hudeček, Jaroslav Svěcený, and Lubomír Brabec.

He is a laureate of the Golden Nut prize awarded to the most talented children of the Czech Republic. His other extraordinary accomplishments include 4th place in the world accordeon competition in Castelfidard, Italy (2017). He has performed in concert at many festivals, such as the Musical Holidays in Prague, the Stockholm Accordeon Festival, the Znojmo Music Festival, the Concentus Moraviae Music Festival, the Festival Preludium Aloise Motýla, Classical Music Festival in Honor of Rudolf Firkušný, and Dvořákova Praha. He has also appeared several times on Czech Television.

In 2019 he was awarded 1st prize and named absolute winner of international competitions in Vienna, Kligenthal, and Ostrava. He won second place at international competitions in Portugal (Alcobaca) and Belgium (Mons). His most recent accomplishment is 1st place at an international competition in Prague, where won 1st place in both the solo and chamber music categories.
