Koji Yamamoto Sax
Yamamoto Koji was born in Yamanashi and started playing the saxophone when he was 8 years old. In 2016, he began his studies at the Tokyo University of the Arts. A few years later, he moved to France, and entered at Conservatoire de Paris.

He has won numerous awards including: first prize in Japan junior wind and percussion competition (2014), second prize in Japan junior saxophone competition (2014), third prize in Akiyoshidai music competition (2017). He has studied with K. Satoshi, H. Masataka, O. Masashi, O. Masanori, S. Nobuya, and Ch. Bois. He gave his first public recital in Tokyo in 2018.

His repertoire is composed of original works for saxophone, transposed works originally composed for other instruments, and also improvisation.

He is currently a student at the Conservatoire de Paris in the class of C. Delangle.
