Tomáš Stanček Conductor
In 2009-2017, Tomáš Stanček led a vocal group in Orlová, Czech Republic called Keep Smiling Gospel, with which he gave concerts in several European countries in addition to the Czech Republic. He studied conducting at the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava, in the class of J. Javůrek. Currently he is a student of the Academy of Performing Arts, Prague, where his mentors are L. Svárovský and T. Koutník. He has attended several choirmaster seminars with the likes of J. Galatenko, M. Němcová and J. Brych. Since 2018 he has been a member of the NIPOS-ARTAMA expert council for high school choirs. In the past he has collaborated with the Polish singer G. Gasior; the Danish choirmaster L. Littau; the Londonbased choirmaster, singer, and composer D. Daniel; the sopranist P. Janečková, the trumpetist N. Grigoriadis, and the pianist M. Bárta. He led ensembles who recorded two CDs featuring works by the Ostrava-based composer I. Szurmanová.

In 2016, he debuted at the Janaček‘s May international music festival, where he directed a concert composed of works by winners of the ”Generation“ composition competition. He has collaborated with the Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava, the Moravian Philharmonic Olomouc, the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic Zlín, the PKF – Prague Philharmonia, and the West Bohemian Symphony Orchestra in Mariánské Lázně. He also took part in conducting courses with the North Bohemian Philharmonic Teplice. Since 2017 he is the choirmaster of the Dvořák Chamber Choir in Kralupy nad Vltavou.
