Born in Japan – Okayama received his first piano lessons at the age of six. He has started
taking piano lessons with R. Doi and with S. Iwasaki at the Kurashiki Music Academy.
In 2011 and 2013 he received bronze medal at PTNA piano competition. In 2013, bronze
medal at the International Chopin Piano Competition in Asia.
In the same year, he received highest award at the 25th all Japan Junior Classic Music
Contest. At the age of eleven, Takumi appeared in various concerts with Kurashiki Junior
Philharmonic Orchestra, Okayama Philharmonic Orchestra and solo recitals.
In 2015 Takumi won first prize at the 69th All Japan Student Music Contest. In the same
year, he won the third prize at 16th Osaka International Music Contest.
In 2016 he has received the Okayama awards and Kurashiki encouragement prize.
Takumi played at the welcome concert for G7 Kurashiki Children Summit.
He played in 2017 on occasion of 50 years anniversary of Kurashiki city. In 2017 he has
started his study at Tokyo College of Music High School as a tuition fee scholarship
student, taking lessons by M. Kawashima, K. Kaise and M. Nojima.
